Danielle and Brian - Dreams Resort

A whole seven hours after arriving back at the office following Amy and Nick’s event, we were up and back at it again for a day filled with emotion, elegance and fun for Danielle and Brian!

This couple married on the beach at Dreams Resort with their cocktail and dinner reception on the nearby Las Palmas Pool Terrace.

Danielle and Brian fell in love with the Dreams Wedding Gazebo and so wanted to exchange vows beneath the intimate structure, however, the area at Dreams fits around 15 guests comfortably, and the couple’s final head count was far beyond that! So . . . what else could we possibly do besides build them their own wooden gazebo replica and place it on the beach for their ceremony celebration!

This is the Dreams Gazebo:

And this is The Dazzling Details Gazebo:

The flowers and aisle décor for the couple’s ceremony were arranged and set up by none other than Danielle’s very own interior-designing Uncle Richard!

He also put together a really lovely and large arrangement of Mexican alcatraz flowers for Danielle’s bouquet.

The Dazzling Details created the bridesmaid bouquets which consisted of three alcatraz flowers surrounded by alheli and touches of sea grass and wrapped with jute, raffia and ribbon.

Draped chiffon over the stairway entrance welcomed guests to the terrace for cocktails, dinner and dancing.

Danielle and Brian chose a natural beach color palette of pale blue, mossy green and white, and we based Danielle and Brian’s “Beach Chic” wedding on two very fresh and fun fabrics that we found that coincided perfectly with their colors – one in a stripe and another in a paisley.

The two fabric designs connected each part of the wedding to the next, creating a very cohesive and coordinated feel to the event’s décor.

We scanned the fabrics and used them to create printed ceremony programs. The front of the programs boasted the paisley print with the couple's names and wedding date. The backside of the programs used the striped border around the ceremony order. Programs were tucked beneath the chair cushions so they wouldn’t blow away in the beach breeze!

A lovely, breezy-feeling lounge area was created around a white iron gazebo with pillows in the couple’s colors (and our paisley and striped patters, of course!) Unique Chinese-lantern lamps emerged from wooden box tables with flowers popping from the base. Flower balls hung from the gazebo, and curtains were draped from the gazebo and tied with bunches of fresh flowers.

In honor of the bride’s roots in New Orleans, a little twist on the traditional pecan pie came in the form of seating assignments uniquely displayed on individual bags of sweet roasted pecans with personalized labels – “A touch of New Orleans meets Mexico.”

Table centerpieces were groupings of white flowers that danced down the tables in vases wrapped in pale blue, mossy green, paisley and striped fabrics. An assortment of napkins either in blue or simple white with a fabric stripe added a touch of fun to the table. Table numbers were marked with hand painted Mexican tiles.

In keeping with the Mexican tile touch on the tabletops, tiles with each guest’s name were displayed as favors for everyone to take home.

Danielle and Brian absolutely loved a few beachy cakes they found with Adirondack chairs on top, and while the cake examples they sent were nearly perfect, we added a tiny touch by adding chair cushions and pillows out of our fabrics to the handmade chairs!

And last but not least, one of my favorite moments of this wedding was the bride and groom’s grand entrance to the mariachi trumpets! They took a moment to twirl in front of the band to get some great shots!

Thank you to Cheryl Ogden for sharing her beautiful photos with us!
