Erin and Damien tied the knot yesterday on Conchas Chinas Beach and then celebrated late into the night at beautiful Villa Celeste! A few photos to give you a peek until we see the professional shots by the amazing Michelle Turner! Enjoy!
Aly and Jake's January wedding at Villa Encanto was truly one of a kind! So many personal elements of the couple's life and relationship were integrated into this event, and the result was a wedding that entirely reflected the couple standing under the chuppah!
A little bit about the couple before revealing the photos of their nuptials: they wanted to incorporate fruit in a big way; they chose a color palette of earthy brown and greens with pops of red and yellow. They wanted a completely relaxed ambiance in which guests could really kick back and enjoy the beach air; they wanted to incorporate their love of travel (both past and future endeavors) into the celebration. Their love of crossword puzzles had to be represented, and their two "kids" - a stuffed monkey and alligator - were absolutely essential as guests to the wedding! All these elements wrapped up into a cocktail-style reception and voila! A wedding to be remembered!
The lovely Jewish wedding ceremony took place in the villa garden where guests wrapped around three sides of the chuppah encircling the bride and groom as they exchanged vows. Following the kiss, guests gathered on the outdoor terrace for appetizers, drinks and lots of fun interactive stations!
Following a few cocktails and tasty quesadillas prepared at a live cooking station, guests were invited to the beach for dancing, desserts and a surprise Churros station (the bride's very favorite!)

Congratulations Jake and Aly! You were sooo amazing to plan with! Happy Marriage!
This is how Loren and Ed defined their wedding vision months ago as they shuffled through hundreds of wedding photos looking for their inspiration! The only really specific request they had was to include gerber daisies!
Loren's sister also designed super fun save-the-dates and invitations for the couple which served as inspiration for many of the design elements!
And what an amazingly fun challenge it was for us to put all of this together and create a wedding day that endlessly wowed them! They deserved every single second of it!
The wedding took place at beautiful Casa Hallan in Bucerias, one of the few villas in the area that can be rented for event-only. What an amazing setting for such a unique celebration. (Anyone interested in this villa, please feel free to contact us! It isn't a very well-known venue, but it is a fantastic one!)
So to keep you satisfied until the professional photos are in from none other than Elizabeth Lloyd, here are a few of our snapshots from yesterday! Enjoy!
Congratulations Loren and Ed! What a privilege it was to plan your day with you!
From the bride and groom: [………………………………………………………….] Here’s me without words to express how agog, how gobsmacked, how blown away, how truly touched we were by the most amazing, gorgeous, hip, unique, totally @#$#ing kick ass event that you created. We had every faith that it would be fabulous, but….well, I have no words.
It was so perfect, so us; it was the event WE would have created, had we been has creative and brilliant as you. How did you do that?!!!!! In fact, everyone assumed we had designed it, even though I kept protesting. Finally, I just gave up…that is, until Ed busted me wide open that I had nothing to do with it.
In a word, it was PERFECT-PLUS. Which really isn’t a word.
Please use me for any testimonials or referrals. I would love to gush about your fabulousness. Any parents should feel free to call mine.
Kristin & Michelle – thank you so much. Thank you so so so much! If you ever need anything, please let me know!
So today I’m deviating a bit from posting our Spring 2008 weddings to share a proud moment in The Dazzling Details history!
Ok, it may be a very itsy bitsy teeny weeny moment, but proud none the less! We constantly visit the amazing wedding blog Style Me Pretty for ideas, inspiration and plain old wedding fun! Today, while browsing through the site, I found a photo from one of our Summer 2007 weddings! Check it out!
Our photo is the first one on the page - anonymous, of course - and while they make mention of the photo as a chair with beautiful ribbons, it was actually a small table with beautiful ribbons – but who really cares! Our photo made Style Me Pretty!
In honor of this moment, here are some additional photos taken by Joe Cogliandro at Katie and Luis’ Villa Encanto wedding in June of 2007!
