Bridesmaid Dress Wanted!

Well, it appears this bridesmaid dress is a hot little item!

After three individual requests from brides for the details on this dress, we've decided to post them!

So here's the scoop . . .

The bride first saw the Micro Tafetta Dress in a magazine article about the movie 27 Dresses and then found the chic little taupe number at a local BCBG store in California. (The other color available was bright magenta.)

When Googled, the dress now appears on the Saks webpage as no longer available online. Luckily, though, they do provide a phone number where you can request information regarding its availability - 1-877-551-SAKS.

Hope this is helpful to all you brides on the prowl for this gorgeous dress!

Denise & Matt - China Blanca

This one is a bittersweet post as it is the last wedding of our Oct 2007 – July 2008 wedding season! It represents the end of another successful wedding season (and a much needed rest and re-energizing for our staff) but also bids adieu to a group of amazing couples who allowed us to share in their amazing celebrations!

And this couple – Denise and Matt – were no exception! They were fantastic from start to finish – gracious, kind, energetic, not to mention gorgeous! There are so many great elements to this wedding, so here goes!

Fashion first! Check out this amazing-looking bridal party with (as always) a stunning bride!

Absolutely loved the bridesmaid dresses – so modern, so fresh and so fun!

And love love loved the groom’s tie! Fit right in to the day’s crisp, clean, white and green palette!

Have you ever seen such pretty feet?

Here are a few photos from the ceremony that took place beneath the China Blanca terrace.

Following the ceremony, the bride and groom braved the heat to capture some amazing outdoor shots . . . and then finished up with some equally great indoor shots!

The cocktail area was setup indoors (to keep people nice and cool in the AC)!

Dinner took place next to the beautiful glass windows giving an indoor view of the beautiful ocean! Tables were simple and chic with touches of detail that spoke to the couple’s personalities! Personalized bookmarks (Matt’s an avid reader!) were created with the Chinese “Double Happiness” symbol and used as place markers.

One of my very favorite cakes of the year!

Other really great things from this wedding:

The funky lounge lights we hand made (from chicken wire) for the lounge and to suspend over the dance floor looked super cool!

During the reception, a Live Art Studio was opened up allowing guests to ‘frame themselves” for portraits with family and friends!

The firedancers put on an absolutely stunning performance . . . dressed in black! A change from their traditional white!

Loved the last dance of the night when the couple twirled around while surrounded by guests holding sparklers!

The end of the night brought the end of the season . . .

Thank you Denise and Matt – what a great way to end our wedding season! You were beautiful and fantastic to work with!
