One element of this wedding that really stood out to me was the bridal party attire! Straying from the ever-common beige or tan suit (which is, of course, very appropriate for the beach), the groom and his entourage sported a more modern version of a guayabera shirt – a lovely shade of blue with a beautiful white embroidered design that ran down the front of the shirt – really sharp looking!

The women wore bright shades of pink and papaya – absolutely crisp and fresh on the beach! Tropical bouquets of orchids in white, green and fuschia with touches of orange blossoms really “popped” off the dresses!

And the bride’s halter neck dress was so stunning on the beach in a glamourous-and-a-little-bit-sexy way!

The bride wanted minimal flowers but a décor dominated by bright citrus shades, and what better place to find the colors than in actual fruit! Wedding décor focused on limes and oranges accented by blossoms! Here are a few photos of the setup:

Christine and Ron made it clear that they wished to be earth-friendly and to avoid using paper products whenever possible. Rather than using traditional place cards, we utilized the same fruit in a creative way to mark seating assignments!

For those concerned that an abundance of fruit went to waste, fear not! Following the wedding, all the fruit used in the décor was donated to local families!

Incorporating traditional Mexican elements into the wedding was very important to this couple as well as a way to honor the groom’s family and their Latin roots. The most obvious of these elements is a mariachi band – always present at celebrations in Mexico!

Next, a tequila-tasting table was made available to guests with several different types of Mexico’s most famous spirit!

And finally, rustic lime juicers – found in every Mexican kitchen – lay at dinner place settings as favors for guests to take home!

Local photographer Paulina Ulloa shot this wedding and did a great job using Villa Verde’s character to capture some amazing shots of the bride and groom!

Best wishes to Christine and Ron as they begin their new life together!
