Lisa and Matt - Dreams PV

Our final wedding celebration of the season - and what a way to end!

Very fortunately, Lisa and Matt made a planning decision to rent reception tents in the event of rain at their end-of-June nuptials - and whew! What a great decision! Rain poured down all evening long, but it didn't dampen the mood of this animated group of family and friends!

Here are just a few photos from the day! More to come by talented photographer Elizabeth Lloyd!

Congratulations Matt and Lisa!

From the Couple:

Well, it has been ten days since our amazing wedding, and we are just settling in back home. We do not even know where to begin thanking you. Our wedding day was one of the best days of our lives.. mostly thanks to you two.

I was so excited to see the finished project because I already knew it would be amazing, and I was still blown away. Every corner I turned, I was so pleasantly surprised... from standing in a bed of brightly colored rose petals while we were saying our vows, to the hundreds of candles lighting our reception, to our lantern-lit dance floor where we danced the night away, to the fireworks!! Your suggestion for "The Ring of Fire" during cake cutting.... then the fireworks!... it was so awesome! Everything was just simply beautiful!! The colors were perfect... everything was awesome. Every single guest had such a great time, and we heard "this is the best wedding I've ever been to" the whole night (and following week!). Thank you so much for making our wedding everything we dreamed it could be.

Not only was the wedding amazing, but the entire planning process was so fun, easy, and stress-free thanks to you. I had such a great time planning our wedding, and you really made everything so effortless and easy... Your professionalism and attention to detail was also so right on.

We will remember our wedding day for the rest of our lives... thank you so much for making it so incredible! Any couple is lucky to get to work with you!

Thank you so much,
Lisa and Matt

A Truly Tropical Welcome

We have literally waited years to be able to put together some fun welcome floral arrangements for guests arriving to a Vallarta wedding. We've done all sorts of welcome bags, baskets, boxes and the like (which are also fun!) but we've been secretly wishing for a couple to choose a welcome arrangement for their guests so we could put these fun little items together!

And finally - this week we are delivering 18 tropical arrangements in these adorable (and authentic) adobe pottery pieces we found! A fun agenda of wedding events pops out of the flowers, and as a little "extra," we tied on a handmade bar of kiwi cucumber soap from local vendor Jabon Arte!

I'd love to have one of these awaiting me at my hotel! Hope Lisa and Matt's guests like them too! (Check back for their wedding photos early next week! Their nuptials are this Friday!)

Amanda and Steven - Dreams PV

Amanda and Steven originally planned for their destination wedding to be held at the new Dreams Resort in Nuevo Vallarta, but fate had something else in store for them . . . just three weeks before the event, a surprising twist brought their celebration from Nuevo Vallarta to the Dreams Resort in Puerto Vallarta - and it was stunning!
Congratulations Steven and Amanda - you were gracious, beautiful, kind and amazing!

A few photos to keep you satified until the professional photos are in from Elizabeth Lloyd!

Jenny and Jeff - Villa Verde

Funny thing. Lots of couples these days want to get married in Mexico but want very little Mexico reflected in their wedding. I get it. Many people immediately associate Mexico with sombreros, pinatas, cactus and tequila.

What many people forget is that Mexico, as much as it has its share of sombreros, pinatas, cactus and tequila, is also a country wealthy with hand-painted pottery, intricately beaded artwork, festive colors, beautifully-designed iron work, succulent tropical fruits and so much more. A Mexican-themed wedding can speak to the vibrancy of the culture through subtle and natural elements as in Jenny and Jeff's wedding this past Monday! Their color palette of fuschia, orange, red and green brought a punch of color to the brick terrace while the decor focused on Mexico . . . in a beautiful, non-sombrero way!

Believe it or not, our inspiration for this wedding came from a couple cakes Jenny liked:

Both cakes had the word "Love" on them - well, we decided to take that idea, add local flare and voila! "Amor" was the theme of this wedding . . . and wow, did it fit the occasion! This celebration focused on the love, uh hum, amor between this amazing couple, their gathered family and group of friends!

A beachfront ceremony in June calls for some shade for guests, and what better way to add color to the beach than with natural bougainvillea suspended over a natural wood structure. Ivory curtains blocked sunlight filtering in from the sides while still allowing for a beautiful view!

Upstairs on the terrace, festive and shaded "cabanas" awaited guests during cocktail hour!

A special children's area was set up for five youngsters! Of course even their area combines with the rest of the wedding!

Guests were seated at beautiful dinner tables that popped with colorful flowers emerging from terracotta pots filled with limes!

Gotta love the cake! A fun and festive combination of several cakes Jenny loved . . . made with "amor" by Charme Reposteria!

After dinner and dessert, guests danced the night away beneath the palapa! Additional seating was placed around the space for those who needed a rest, and decorative terracotta pieces added candlelight and flowers to the area!

Mexican tortas (sandwiches), cookies and milk were served at the end of the night - what a popular treat!

Congratulations Jenny and Jeff - we loved being a part of your festive Mexican celebration . . . filled with mucho amor!
